Greatest Burger Ever
- 1 lbs 80/20 ground beef
- 1 medium finely chopped onion
- 1 large egg
- 1 clove finely chopped garlic
- 1 tsp worstershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 squirt sriracha
- sliced muenster cheese
- additional salt for sprinkling
- potato roll
- real butter
Prepare the onion and garlic by finely chopping. Combine beef and the egg thoroughly in a medium sized bowl until yolk is no longer visible. Then add in the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Form medium sized patties about 3/4 of an inch in thickness. Sprinkle burgers with salt on both sides.
Depending on your temperature preference, cook for 5-10 mins. Top with a slice of muenster 1 minute before removing from heat.
At the same time you can lightly toast your barely buttered potato rolls either by placing them quickly on grill or face down in a skillet.
These burgers are best made on the grill, but they are also delicious cooked on your stove top.
Dress the burger on your buttered, toasted bun, with garlic aioli and preferred condiments (let, tom, onion, pickles, etc.)
Roast Garlic Aioli
- 1 head garlic
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup mayo
- 1 lemon juice
- 1/8 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper (fresh ground if possible)
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
Cut the whole head of garlic in half and place it on tin foil with the flat side down. Drizzle olive oil over the garlic and wrap it up within the tin foil loosely. Roast for 30-40 minutes or until the cloves push out of easily.
Remove the garlic and wait for it to cool to room temp.
In a small food processor or blender squeeze out the garlic cloves and add the mayo, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Blend until smooth.

Cold Three Bean Salad
- 2 cups blanched fresh cut green beans
- 1 can garbonzo beans
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1 medium white onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
Break the tips off of fresh green beans after rinsing them in the sink. Bring a large pot of water to boil and blanch the beans (if you?re new to blanching, here is a great step by step guide from No Recipe Required) until they are tender but don't break easily. Drain and set them aside to cool.
Finely chop your white onion, then whisk together in a small bowl: sugar, oil, salt, pepper, garlic and white onion. Set aside.
In a large bowl stir together green beans, rinsed garbonzo beans and rinsed kidney beans. Pour whisked ingredients over beans and fold together making sure to cover the beans well. Place in the fridge to chill. Serve cold and stir before serving.
